Cherki, a 20-year-old French artist, grew up in Nanterre, in the Hauts-de-Seine department. His musical journey began at the age of five when he enrolled in music school to study drums and percussion. By the age of eleven, Cherki had already formed a music group with older students. This group went on to win several competitions and performed at notable venues such as Batofar in Paris and Maison Daniel Féry in Nanterre.

Initially, their music was heavily influenced by jazz and funk. However, Cherki's passion for words and rhythm led to the incorporation of rap verses, creating a unique fusion of genres. This distinctive style continues to define his music today.
